From June 1 a new package of labour market regulation rules came into force

On 1 June 2025, important changes to Polish labour law came into force - employers should be aware of them, especially if they employ foreign nationals.

Among them are key provisions impacting companies employing foreigners:

  • Abolition of regional restrictions at labor offices – foreign nationals will be able to register as unemployed or job-seeking at any district labor office, regardless of place of residence or registration.
  • New support mechanisms for foreigners – selected groups of foreign workers will gain access to additional vocational activation tools and integration assistance.
  • Digitalization of labor office services – streamlined access to procedures and documents, also for foreigners, which can simplify the employment and work legalization process.

Employers should review these changes with regard to:

  1. recruitment and onboarding procedures for foreign employees
  2. legal support for registration and work permits
  3. cooperation with labor offices and new information duties

At REVERA, we assist employers in adapting to new labor law requirements – including those applicable to foreign workers.
