REVERA at IBA CEE Conference 2025 in Warsaw – on the Future of Law and the Transformation of Legal Services
On May 15–16, 2025, Warsaw hosted the latest edition of the IBA Central and Eastern Europe Conference, organized by the International Bar Association. This prestigious event brought together hundreds of legal professionals from across the CEE region – law firm partners, in-house counsel, business advisors, and industry leaders. REVERA Polska was proud to be part of this international exchange.
The conference served as a platform for sharing experiences, building connections, and gaining deeper insight into how geopolitics, technology, and evolving client expectations are reshaping the legal profession.
Key topics discussed at the event included
- Changing geopolitical realities – how political instability, regulatory shifts, and regional conflicts impact legal practice in Central and Eastern Europe.
- Margin pressure and new business models for law firms – how to manage profitability in the face of rising costs and increasing client demands.
- Talent acquisition and retention – strategies for attracting young legal professionals and managing hybrid and remote teams.
- International collaboration – the growing importance of alliances and cross-border deals, particularly in M&A and corporate law.
One theme stood out across nearly all sessions: artificial intelligence. Regardless of the panel topic, AI and its implications for the legal profession sparked lively discussion. Speakers explored how AI is already being used in legal work – from document review to risk analysis and client service – and the legal and ethical challenges that come with it.
Particularly engaging were questions around legal liability for the outcomes of AI-driven decisions, the role of automation in legal advice, and the potential shift in how lawyers work and deliver value. It was clear that AI is no longer just a future trend – it’s a tool already being adopted by many forward-thinking firms, and one that will shape the profession in the years to come.
Why was REVERA there?
Participating in the IBA CEE Conference 2025 was a natural step for us. At REVERA law group, we support clients in cross-border projects every day – from international investors to fast-scaling companies. Understanding the broader trends shaping the legal market helps us serve them better and stay ahead of change.
The event reaffirmed our belief that the future belongs to law firms that are flexible, innovative, and open to international collaboration. And technology – especially artificial intelligence – will play a key role in that future.
